Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in kindergarten is the foundation for children's development, including creativity. Creativity can be fostered through the right environment and learning, but conventional teacher-centered methods often limit children's expression. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the application of traditional games in enhancing creativity in kindergarten children. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results show that traditional games encourage children to be more active, confident, and creative, both cognitively, physically, and socio-emotionally. Children learn to express ideas, solve problems, imagine, and collaborate with friends. These findings confirm that traditional games are effective as a fun, contextual learning method, and are able to optimize children's creative potential, while also being an innovative alternative relevant to local culture
