Journal Description

JISEI: Journal of Islamic Studies and Educational Innovation is a scientific journal that focuses on publishing research in the fields of Islamic studies and educational innovation, with an emphasis on integrating classical Islamic scholarship and contemporary educational practices.

The journal aims to contribute to the development of transformative, inclusive, and context-responsive education grounded in Islamic values, while addressing current global challenges in education. Articles are published under an open-access policy to ensure wide dissemination of knowledge. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process involving at least two reviewers with expertise relevant to the article’s topic.

JISEI covers a broad range of studies, including Islamic education, curriculum development, pedagogy and learning innovation, integration of technology in education, character and moral education (akhlaq), as well as interdisciplinary approaches connecting Islam with social, cultural, and educational transformation.

The journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December), providing a continuous platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share impactful and innovative research.

Editorial Process

Submission to First Decision: 1-2 weeks

Submission to Acceptance: 2 - 3 weeks

Acceptance to Publish: 4 - 16 weeks

Before Submission

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts have been prepared using the JISEI Template and adhere to the Author Guidelines. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review by another journal. Before submitting a manuscript, authors must undergo a grammar check and a similarity check. A similarity check report and an Authorship Declaration Form signed by all authors must be uploaded as supporting documents at the time of submission. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's focus and scope, writing guidelines, established format, or academic writing standards may be rejected without review. Only manuscripts that meet JISEI editorial standards will be processed further. Registration and login are required to submit manuscripts online and monitor the submission status.
