Abstract

This article highlights the importance of integrating Islamic ecotheological values into environmentally-oriented Islamic education as a theological and pedagogical response to the global ecological crisis. The study aims to develop an Islamic education model capable of instilling both spiritual and ecological awareness in a sustainable manner within the context of the digital era. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, this study analyzes reputable academic sources to explore concepts, strategies, and pedagogical challenges in synthesizing Islamic spirituality, digital technology, and environmental values. The findings reveal that the application of core values such as tawhid, amanah, mizan, and rahmah in learning—when synergized with reflective use of digital technology—can form a model of Digital Faith-Based Ecotheological Pedagogy that is relevant, adaptive, and sustainability-oriented. The theoretical contribution of this article lies in its formulation of an integrative approach to contemporary Islamic education that combines faith, ecology, and digital pedagogical innovation. Practically, the study recommends curriculum reform, teacher training, and the development of learning media that support the creation of a spiritual, ecological, and sustainable Islamic educational ecosystem.
